Pogo Bowl Game Tips

Pogo Bowl is a bowling simulator game on the Pogo website. It emulates a real bowling alley, with the looks, sounds and actions of the game. Several players can bowl in each room, offering the social aspects of a bowling alley. Pogo has also added its own twists to the game.

Set Up, Aim and Release

Use your mouse to move the ball to the left and right to aim the throw. Left-click on the ball and hold it while moving your mouse towards the pins. This extends a guide to aim with. Release the left-click when you have your aim set. The faster you extend and release, the faster the ball will travel. A faster throw will bounce off the pins and knock down less of them, so it's less effective in getting a strike. The faster throw is best used for the second throw of a frame, when you have fewer pins to knock down.

Ball Movement and Offset Aiming

Once you've thrown the ball, left- or right-clicking your mouse will spin the ball in that direction. Use this to fix your aim if you've accidentally released the ball, or if you're trying to deflect a pin into another pin to make a split.

The pins are not always set the same way. The front pin may be slightly closer to one side, so throwing the ball the same way every time won't always produce the same effect. When this happens, aiming towards the two close-together pins often knocks down at least eight pins, allowing for an easy spare.

Pogo Bonuses

The "Strike It Rich" bonus is available when five or more players are in a room. If you are the only player to get a strike in a frame, you get bonus Pogo tokens. Knocking down gold or silver pins also nets you extra tokens. Your goal in Pogo Bowl is to score at least 150 points in a game. This gets you a jackpot spin for tokens or cash, so try to make as many spares and strikes as you can to get to 150.
