Spongebob Pool Party Ideas

Spongebob Pool Party Ideas

SpongeBob Squarepants has become a cartoon favorite for young kids across the globe. Who could resist the big yellow sponge that likes to blow bubbles? Impress your kids by planning a SpongeBob pool party for them this summer. They'll be sure to have a ball and remember the party for years to come. Does this Spark an idea?

Bubble-Themed Ideas

Everyone that knows SpongeBob knows that he loves to blow bubbles. Get your kids to join in the fun by providing lots of bubble-related toys at the pool. Give bubble-themed gift bags with bottles of bubbles and creative bubble wands. Be sure to have several bubble machines running around the pool to set the mood. Ask the children to have a bubble-blowing contest to see who can blow the biggest bubble. They might also see who can pop the most bubbles. Give SpongeBob pool cups as prizes to the winners.

Ideas for Using Sponges

Give each child a sponge decorated with facial features resembling SpongeBob. Have each child write his name on his sponge so it doesn't get lost. Use the sponges for a variety of party games. Throw them in the pool and see who can swim and collect them the fastest. Find out who can throw her sponge the farthest, who can stack the highest sponge tower and who can jump over the most sponges. Be sure to have SpongeBob party favors on hand for the winners of all of the games.

Come in Costume

Ask each child to come dressed as SpongeBob and to do her SpongeBob impersonation in order to be "admitted" to the pool party. An adult can videotape the children and create a video montage set to music to give to all of the party attendees at a later date. Order a SpongeBob cake, play a game of Pin the Nose on SpongeBob and then ask the kids to sing the SpongeBob theme song while playing in the pool.

All-Yellow Decor

Send out SpongeBob party invitations and clearly outline in the invitations that everything worn or brought to the party must be yellow. Make all your decorations yellow also. Serve only yellow food (yellow cake, pineapple, bananas and other yellow foods) and use a yellow cloth on your table. Play SpongeBob music in the background as the kids are playing in the pool.
