At any party, a host needs a way to get guests to interact and have fun. This is especially true with adult parties, since adults can leave at any time if they aren't entertained well. Hula Hoop Ring Toss
Hula hoop ring toss is an adult outdoor game suggested by partygameideas.com. To prepare for the game, the host sets up a large post in the ground--a dowel or metal rod works just fine. About 12 to 18 inches of the post need to be above ground. The host marks a throw line with chalk or a scratch in the dirt at least 10 feet away from the post. One at a time, the guests try to get a hula hoop around the post. Those who succeed go on to the next round. Play continues until only one player is left. A variation on this idea is to use two posts and two to four hula hoops for a hula hoop version of horseshoes.
Water Wars
Water wars is similar to paintball, except that the players are equipped with water squirt guns. The host sets up obstacles anywhere on the property to give players somewhere to hide. The host then draws two end zone lines on either side of the obstacles. Players are divided into two teams. The teams then line up at the end zone lines, and on the host's signal, have to make it to the other end zone without getting squirted. The team with the most dry players at the end of the game wins. A tip for this game is for the host to leave some buckets of water at every obstacle so players can reload their squirt guns. The host also can add a challenge by requiring players to squirt only certain areas of the body.
Toilet Tag
Toilet tag comes from greatgroupgames.com. Three players volunteer or are selected by the host to be "it." The players who are "it" try to tag all the other players. When the players get tagged, they must sit on the ground and put their hand out like a handle and pretend to be a toilet. To get back into the game, a "toilet" has to be used--another player has to come sit on the toilet and pump the toilet's arm for a flush. If the volunteers haven't turned everyone into toilets in five minutes, then they lose the game and everyone else wins.
