Types Of Announcement Cards

An announcement card can serve as a keepsake from one of life's milestones.


Announcement cards allow you to share with friends and family members good news and positive life changes. The cards are typically sent through the mail or distributed during the holidays. A well thought out announcement card with an engaging design can often have a long life as a part of a photo album or scrapbook. Does this Spark an idea?


Graduation


A graduation announcement will inform the recipient's that a friend or family member has graduated high school or college. The card can relay a high grade point average or honor roll achievement. It can also add details about the graduates future plans, whether it be college, the military or a profession. Add a senior photo of the graduate to the card to help transform it into a keepsake.


Engagement/Wedding


An engagement announcement is an effective way to share your good news with loved ones in a personal manner. The cards will typically be titled "We're Engaged" or some variation of the wording. If wedding details are available, the announcement can list these as well or simply say "wedding details to come." A wedding announcement will be sent to friends and family members after the wedding has occurred and are ideal for friends and family members unable to attend your special day. Include an engagement photo or wedding photo on the cards for a personal touch.


New Baby


An announcement card for a new baby is one of the most popular announcement card trends. These cards nearly always include a newborn photo of the baby, which is often placed in a scrapbook or photo album by family members. The card lists the name of the baby along with the date and time he or she was born. You can also include the weight and height of the baby if space allows. A note saying, "Mother and baby are both doing well" is both appropriate and appreciated.
