Prizes that Match the Games
Popular wedding shower games include "purse raid" and "name the missing ingredient." If you decide to play either of those games at a bridal shower, give a prize to the winner of the game that suits the game's theme. For instance, give the woman who wins the "name the missing ingredient" game an apron or pot holder, preferably in the colors of the wedding. Give the woman who wins "purse raid" a small coin purse or key chain.
The Bride's Favorite Candy
Gather a handful of the bride's favorite sweets into a pretty package and give that as a prize to the person who wins bingo or any other game at the shower. Small party bags full of the bride's favorite treats will also make suitable party favors for all guests.
Potted Plants
If the shower is held in the early spring or summer, you can give small potted plants as a prize. Certain herbs, such as mint, are easy to grow, even for the most brown-thumbed of people. Include a recipe that uses the herb. You can also award bright, lively springtime flowers such as gerbera daisies or marigolds as prizes.
Spa Sampler
If the bride and her friends enjoy pampering themselves, a small spa set with bath salts, scented candles and lotion will make a good prize. You could also make the spa sampler the grand prize, if your budget allows, and throw in a gift certificate for a day of pampering at a local spa.
Personalized Prizes
Get coffee mugs or picture frames printed with the date of the shower and a phrase along the lines of "Bride's shower!" You could combine a personalized prize with a candy prize and fill the coffee mug with a bunch of the bride's favorite sweets. If you give a picture frame as the prize, bring a portable digital picture printer along to the shower. Get a shot of all the guests together, print it out and place it in the prize frame.
