Instead, choose one that takes advantage of your birthday falling during the summer. Luau
Have a luau-themed party for your Sweet 16 birthday party during the summer. This can be held in your backyard if you have a pool. Other locations could be a community pool or beach area. Set up tiki torches around the pool area and serve food that is cooked on the grill. You can grill skewers of meat as well as grilled fruits and vegetables. Games such as limbo and beach volleyball can be played in the grass or sand. To match the theme, ask your friends to wear swimsuits and present each with a lei when she arrives.
Baseball Game
If the girl celebrating her Sweet 16th birthday is a baseball fan, you could throw her a party at a local professional baseball team's game at the home stadium. You can purchase tickets for her and her friends individually, or reserve a suite at the stadium for the party. Stadiums offer catering packages in the suites, and some will allow you to use a private party room for the party before the game even if you don't have a suite.
