Things For Couples To Do In Atlanta

Atlanta is a great destination for couples.

Atlanta is a great travel destination for couples. It combines all of the attractions of a large modern city with the charm and elegance of the Old South. Whether you're into art or theatre, sports or comedy, fine food or trendy clubs, Atlanta has something for you. The best time to visit Atlanta is in the spring or the fall, as summers can be oppressively hot and winters surprisingly cold.

See a Play

Over the last 42 years, many famous actors have treaded the boards at Alliance including Morgan Freeman and Richard Dreyfuss. The 2010 season includes Tracy Lett's highly-acclaimed Tony award-winning play "August: Osage County". Be sure to book in advance as popular productions sell out.

Go to a Comedy Show

Proclaiming itself the smallest full-time comedy venue in the world, the Laughing Skull Lounge showcases a wide range of talent in an intimate setting. Though it may be small, when it comes to laughs, the Laughing Skull Lounge offers big laughs. Big name comedians that have appeared there include Steve Hofstetter, Margaret Cho, Emo Phillips and Gregg Proops. The lounge has been used as the filming location for Comedy Central specials. Bear in mind that the Laughing Skull doesn't sell food, so you may want to grab dinner beforehand. It does serve drinks. Bring cash because they don't take cards.
