The Best Swimming Pools In Maui

Many Maui hotels feature lush gardens and breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains.

Because of its natural wonders and gorgeous beaches, Conde Nast Traveler's readers voted Maui the "Best Island" for more than a decade. The island features a wide variety of national parks, golf courses and outdoor recreational activities, including whale watching. After a long day of sightseeing, relax or play in one of the island's most inviting swimming pools.

Grand Wailea

The Grand Wailea is one of the most luxurious resorts on Maui, and its pools feature relaxation and enjoyment for the entire family. Adults who are 18 and older can indulge themselves in the 4,850-square-foot Hibiscus Pool, which was named for its giant mosaic tile hibiscus on the bottom of it. This pool also offers two Jacuzzis. Kids and families can use the Wailea Canyon Activity Pool, which is comprised of nine free-form pools over six levels; they start at 40 feet and drop to sea level. A river that features many different water speeds, such as whitewater rapids and lazy currents, connects the different pools. The area includes four tile slides, a whitewater rapids slide, four jungle pools, a Tarzan pool with a rope swing, a sand beach, six waterfalls, caves, three Jacuzzis, and a swim-up bar. If that's not enough, the pool also has an infant pool and the world's only water elevator.
