The Space Needle and Seattle's waterfront are close to Seattle's urban timeshare.
Few timeshares, with the exception of Orlando, Florida, are located in large cities. The majority of timeshares may be found in vacation areas, close to oceans, lakes and mountains. Seattle, Washington, a city built on hills and surrounded by water, as of June 2011 has one timeshare located in the city center. Several other timeshares appear at beaches and mountains surrounding Seattle.
WorldMark Camlin
The Camlin, downtown Seattle, has a history going back to 1926. Built to be a hotel, it is now a WorldMark (worldmarktheclub.com) timeshare resort. Across from the Paramount Theatre and Washington State Convention Center, The Camlin is close to Seattle's downtown shopping, dining and attractions. Studio units sleep two or four people; one-bedroom units sleep four; two-bedroom-units sleep six. Units are smaller and more expensive compared to most timeshares and include mini kitchens, cable TV, DVD player; fans in each room but no air conditioning. The resort has a spa, heated outdoor pool, fitness center, activities, and barbecue area. High-speed Internet and garage parking are available for a fee.
Blue Heron Condominiums
Located about a two-hour drive from Seattle is Blue Heron (blueheroncondos.com) in Union. Surrounded by nature, the condominiums have a full kitchen, dining area, one or two bathrooms, living area, patio and one to three bedrooms. All units have cable TV, DVD, Internet access and fireplace. On-site are tennis and basket ball courts, swimming pool, recreation center and play area. Hood Canal and a private beach are a short walk from the condominiums.
Birch Bay
Approximately 100 miles north of Seattle, WorldMark Birch Bay (worldmarktheclub.com) timeshare in Blaine offers outdoor pool and spa, recreation and fitness centres. Units range from studio to three bedroom, with cable TV, DVD player, washer, dryer, gas fireplace, jetted tub and balconies. Units with bedrooms have full kitchen. Whale watching, clamming, museums, golf, family fun center and skiing at Mount Baker are some of Birch Bay area attractions.
Ocean Shores Area
Less than a three-hour drive from Seattle is Ocean Shores, which has four timeshares available. Surfcrest Resort (surfcrestcondos.com) sits in a remote location, seven miles north of Ocean Shores. The resort has several games rooms, indoor-outdoor pool, hot tub, sauna, covered barbecue area and an adult lounge with large TV screen and wet bar. WorldMark Ocean Shores (worldmarktheclub.com) at Mariner Village has an outdoor pool and sun deck that overlooks the ocean. Units have full kitchen, gas barbecue, fireplace, washer and dryer, cable TV, DVD player, balcony and high-speed speed Internet available for a fee. Park Place Condominiums (osparkplace.com) are two-bedroom units with full kitchen on the coast. With only six condominiums, Park Place is small compared to most timeshare resorts. Windjammer Resort (no website; telephone 360-289-3388) at Ocean Shores, located on a championship golf course, has an outdoor pool.
