Even at the waterpark, you can still get creative with your birthday celebration ideas.
Your local waterpark is an ideal venue for a birthday party your guests will love. When you choose to have a party at such a large venue, there's always a lot of planning involved. It can be tempting to turn everyone loose in the waterpark for the day, but when it's a loved one's birthday, the event still needs to be special. Plan out a few ideas prior to the party to make sure the focus is still on the birthday boy or girl. Does this Spark an idea?
Activities
Of course, part of the fun of having your party at the waterpark is all the rides and games that come along with it. However, you can still come up with a few activity ideas that will get all your guests together. Bring along a few water coolers filled with water balloons and find an open area for an all-out water balloon fight. Talk to the waterpark management ahead of time to ask about reserving specific rides just for your party; for example, you may be able to organize a "water slide race" using two parallel slides and dividing your guests into teams.
Food
Some waterparks have food courts or vendors, but you may have other ideas for your birthday party meal. Contact the waterpark to find out if grills are allowed, and if so, bring along a few dozen hamburgers and hotdogs for an outdoor barbecue. Stick with your waterpark theme with a birthday cake decorated like a swimming pool with a high dive, a lifesaver, or a tropical beach. Popsicles will also make a nice treat, or frozen fruit, for a healthier alternative.
Invitations
As with any party invitation, you should include the day's activities in your invitations so guests can plan accordingly. Come up with your own creative waterpark birthday invitation by selecting an iconic waterpark item and designing your invitation based on that item. For example, make your invitations a "WaterPark Ticket," each of which gives the guest "special access" to the extra games and activities you've planned. Include lifesaver candies, deflated water balloons, or tiny water guns to get your guests in the mood for your waterpark birthday party.
