Places To Have A Hawaiian Party

Throw a Hawaiian party in your backyard.

Choosing a location for a Hawaiian party does not need to be difficult; there are several venues that work well. A Hawaiian party can include a luau, hula dancers or any form of appreciation of the Hawaiian spirit and culture. Throw a Hawaiian party to celebrate a birthday, special event or just as an opportunity to get together with friends and family. Does this Spark an idea?

Beach

If you live close to the ocean, have your Hawaiian party at the beach. A beach is an affordable and perfect setting for a Hawaiian party; it will set the mood immediately and you won't require much in the way of decorations other than providing some light. However, some cities require that you obtain a permit if you plan on having a large group. In addition, alcohol is prohibited from being consumed on the beach in some states. Check with your city government to obtain necessary permits before you send out the party invitations.

Park

Like the beach, a park is an inexpensive place to have a Hawaiian party. It's a good option for a family-oriented Hawaiian party with many guests. Many parks have a recreation center or a covered pavilion that is available to rent. The kids can play games while the adults mingle and prepare the food. Most parks provide barbecue grills and picnic tables, making the park an option if you live in an apartment or if you do not have room to accommodate a large number of guests. However, alcohol consumption may be restricted and you will need to comply with the park's closing time.

Backyard

If you have the space, a backyard is an ideal location for a Hawaiian party. Get the grill going and cook some traditional Hawaiian dishes. Or ask guests to bring their favorite Hawaiian dish or CDs of Hawaiian music. Holding a Hawaiian party in a backyard allows for easy food preparation and you can move the party inside if the weather does not cooperate.

Hawaiian Restaurant

If the party is scheduled to take place during the winter, consider reserving a room or space indoors at a Hawaiian restaurant. The restaurant can cater the appropriate Hawaiian food for the event and there will be no worries about a last-minute change in the weather forecast. Also, be sure to ask about discounts; some restaurants offer incentives to use the restaurant for large parties.
