Known as the Garden Isle, Kauai is the oldest of the main Hawaiian islands and also the fourth largest of the entire chain. The Tip Top Motel Cafe & Bakery is located in the town of Lihue on the eastern side of the island. This is a largely no-frills motel with 30 units. The rooms come with air-conditioning, cable TV and showers. The rooms do not have phones or Internet access, but on the flip side the units are among the most affordable on Kauai. The Tip Top Motel Cafe & Bakery serves American, Asian, Hawaiian and Japanese cuisine, and is open for breakfast and lunch. Many patrons who have dined there recommend its pancakes.
