Taking a group tour is a great way to see the places you've always wanted to go---especially after retirement when you don't have any restrictions on your vacation time. For travelers 50 and over, senior tours are ideal. In Illinois, both Chicago-area and downstate tour companies offer trips of various length, especially for older adults. Some senior organizations and senior community centers also offer shorter day trips or overnight journeys. Charter bus companies in Illinois also serve senior citizens, especially through regular chartered runs to Illinois' riverboat casinos.
