Sandy Beaches in Ontario

The Delawana Inn Spa & Conference Resort
The Delawana Inn has been an Ontario vacation pick since 1897. It sits on several sandy beaches, tucked in among the woods of the 30,000 Islands, with water skiing, hiking, biking, fishing and all water sports available. Take some time to revive in the wellness spa, play tennis or check out the executive pitch and putt golf course. The resort is located in Honey Harbour in Muskoka and provides a variety of children's programs, movies under the night sky and restaurants for quick snacks and gourmet meals. The Delawana has rooms, suites, cottages and chalets that begin, as of early 2010, at a bed and breakfast rate of US $180 per couple in season, but there are many packages and, most of the time, two or three children can stay and eat free with their parents.

Loralea Country Inn Resort
The Loralea Country Inn Resort is a small, family-friendly (and pet-friendly) cottage resort on Halls Lake in the Haliburton Highlands in central Ontario. The resort is open year-round and features four acres of trees on a crystal-clear lake with a protected, sandy beach for children and most boating, fishing and swimming activities at hand. You can challenge your cabin-mates to badminton, volleyball, horseshoes or shuffleboard. In summer, use canoes and paddleboats; in winter, use the snowmobile. Any season works for the personal firepit outside your room or the hiking and mountain biking trails. Several of the cabins have wood-burning fireplaces and lake views.
