Rhode Island has several paintball companies. Although paintball would not suit young children, it can provide a birthday party option for older children, teenagers and adults. Rip Tide Paintball in Portsmouth and Providence Paintball have birthday party packages. Providence Paintball has an indoor playing field, so you can enjoy paintball year-round. For its birthday package, it allows children age 10 and older to play. All safety equipment is provided, and the game is monitored by a referee. To get Providence Paintball's birthday rate, you need at least 10 players.

Rhode Island has a 3D IMAX Theater in Providence. To qualify for the theater's birthday package, you need to have at least 10 children attending. The package includes reserved seating in the theater and in a section of the lobby before the film starts. The package also includes soda, popcorn and a special announcement for the birthday child before the movie starts.

Rhode Island's hockey team offers special birthday packages for kids. The party packages include a P-Bruins thunderstick for each child. Rhode Island has several miniature golf courses. In Warwick, you will find Monster Mini Golf. Monster Mini Golf has an indoor course with glow-in-the-dark monsters, some of which move. It has six birthday packages. Options in Monster Mini Golf's packages include a party room, round of golf, T-shirt for the birthday boy, a free pass for a future visit and temporary tattoos.
If you prefer to play mini golf outside, you can head to Bayview Fun Park on Rhode Island's southern shore. The park has a miniature golf course, a go-kart track, bumper boats and a parking area for those wishing to sit, walk or swim on the beach.
