Be a detective like Nancy Drew.
"Nancy Drew: Secret of the Old Clock" is a PC adventure game that was released in 2005. As the famous young detective, you must solve a mystery involving stolen jewels and a lost will. You must find clues, solve puzzles and uncover information by speaking to suspects and other characters. You can choose to be a junior or senior detective, which changes the difficulty level of some puzzles.
Shakespeare Puzzle
After you first arrive at the Lilac Inn, go into the parlor where you'll see a booth in the corner. Turn the heart-shaped handle, which will raise the curtain, and click on the coin slot to begin the puzzle. By re-arranging the multi-colored blocks you can join like-colored characters from "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Do this on the junior detective level by moving yellow (left), green (left and down), yellow (down), blue (left, down and right) and red (down, right and up). The senior detective version is a bit more complex. Move blue (left), yellow (left, up and right), blue (up), green (up, left and down), blue (down), yellow (left), blue (up and right), yellow (right), red (up and right), green (right), red (down and left) and green (left).
Golf Course
To advance to the next part of the game, you have to shoot a 21 in golf as a junior detective and a 30 as a senior detective. Remember that the game can be saved after each hole, so if you have a good hole (par or under) definitely save the game--it might be difficult to repeat your result. To swing the club, drag it back with the mouse and then release. On the third hole, aim for the cave. Your ball will exit the other side, right next to the hole. On the fourth hole, aim for the middle hole to see a cool animation of your ball taking a plane and train trip.
Blue Clock
In the carriage house is a blue clock that requires a combination. This can be deduced from the poem in Josiah's book, which you obtain after the golf ball puzzle. The poem has colored letters that represent numbers. For example, "The moon in the sky was ONCE heard TO say...beFORE too long..." In other words: 1, 2 and 4. The final combination ends up being 1 2 4 2 8 2 7. It can be entered by moving the clock hand the required number of times, then clicking the button on top of the clock to lock in the number. The clock will reset and you can enter the next number.
