Honolulu is at a crossroads between Asia and the United States and millions of travelers from both places flock to the island annually. The island offers a rich sense of history that visitors enjoy exploring. One of the most popular attractions on the island is Diamond Head, the 350-acre Diamond Head volcanic crater. Iyasume Musubi
Iyasume Musubi has three restaurants open in Honolulu and offers a number of traditional Japanese Foods and Hawaiian-inspired meals. Bento boxes are one of the most popular items on the menu, based on the fact that they come with a variety of items included. Each box contains a side dish, brown or white rice, miso soup and your choice of a beef, fish, pork or chicken. Each of the restaurants delivers between 7:00 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. and tourists are known to order early to their hotels to take food along as they explore the island. The restaurants also serve teriyaki and curry-based meals.
Spices
Spices delivers fresh cuisine from a variety of Asian countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Burma. Offering noodles, curry and stir-fries, the restaurant also serves a green papaya salad and other vegetarian-based meals that are popular. Delivery hours are Tuesday to Friday between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and Tuesday to Saturday 5:30p.m to 9:30 p.m. The restaurant delivers on Sunday 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and is closed on Mondays.
Dream Family
Dream Family delivers from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a minimum order of $15. The main dishes served by this restaurant are Chinese and traditional barbecue-inspired fare. The menu is diverse in nature and offers a bit of everything, including meals made with pork, chicken, beef, fish and duck. Popular meals include roast duck (either half or whole) and cake noodles, which come flavored with everything from shrimp to pork. Call ahead early for delivery and note that reservations are recommended if you plan to dine in.
Z Pizza
Visiting the island may be a great adventure that you won't soon forget, but it is nice to be reminded of home now and again. Order up a pie from Z Pizza for a bit of something from the mainland. Z Pizza specializes in healthy pizzas and as many locally-grown organic ingredients as possible are used. The menu at Z Pizza is diverse and offers soups and salads to complement pizzas. You can also opt for a thick sandwich. Unique to the restaurant is a product called a "rustica" which is a thin pizza made on a free-form crust and topped in just about any way that you can imagine.
