Flip Flop Summer Party Invitations
A summer party invitation should be as personal as your party is going to be. Evoke the feel of summer by dabbing just a drop of "Beach", "Seashore" or "Ocean" scented oil into your invitation envelope. Once the guests see the creativity and effort you put into making the invitations, they will know you are planning an event they cannot miss.
Refrigerator Magnet Invitation
Print all your party information on magnet printer paper in the shape of a colorful beach ball, beach towel or beach umbrella. The magnetized paper is light enough to send through the mail as you would any other invitation. One sheet of this specialized paper will yield you four, good-sized magnets. This summer party information will not get lost in the shuffle. It will stay on your invited guests' refrigerators as a reminder of your upcoming affair.
Flip Flop Invitation
Nothing says summer like flip flops, so design your invitation to look like a pair of these casual shoes. Use a computer program for greeting cards and a scanner for this invitation. Put one colorful flip flop on your scanner and close the cover. Then drape a large towel over the scanner to keep the light out of the opening caused by the presence of the sandal. Scan the flip flop into the greeting card program and size it to fit a long letter envelope. Use the flip flop artwork as the front of the invitation, and add a phrase such as "Summer Bash." Fill the inside of the card with details about your party, such as where and when it will take place.
Bathing Beauties Invitation
If you already have snapshots of your summer party guests, create a comical invitation using your greeting card program. Scan the pictures of the guests into your greeting card program and cut and paste their heads onto a picture of a beach scene. Search the web for a scene of playful people at the beach and copy this to your greeting card program. You can cut and paste grandma's head on the body of a bathing beauty or make an elderly uncle's head appear on the body of a surfer. As long as your guests have a sense of humor, this invitation is sure to be a hit.
Postcard Invitation
Create a postcard invitation on your computer using a picture that puts a smile on your guests' faces. If your summer affair is a cocktail party, use a picture of summer drinks with little umbrellas. Use a picture of a pool or the beach if the party is going to incorporate swimming. A postcard invitation gives the guests a quick snapshot of the type of summer party you are planning.
