Established exclusively for United States military personnel, the nation's military resorts and hotels offer amenities, services and accommodations for service members who wish to rest and relax in privacy amongst other service members. There are several Armed Forces Recreation Centers in the United States, all which cater to service members and their families. The Cape Henry Inn and Beach Club
Situated right on the beach, the Cape Henry Inn and Beach Club offers guest rooms, cottages and log cabins. Hale Koa Hotel
Opened in 1975 as a 72-acre tropical resort, the Hale Koa Hotel boasts 818 guest rooms for military personnel and their families. All rooms feature air conditioning, color TVs, alarm clocks/radios, hairdryers, coffeemakers, refreshments cabinets, and high-speed Internet access. The beachside hotel also offers two restaurants, four snack bars and three bars and lounges. There is an on-site health club, jogging path, as well as three pools, tennis courts and handball and sand volleyball courts. Hale Koa also hosts three shows and offers spa services and hula dancing lessons and garden tours.

Shades of Green Resort
This Disney Resort is designed exclusively for the nation's service members, their families and certain eligible persons. The only Armed Forces Recreation Center near Disney World, Shades of Green Resort features cascading waterfalls, lush tropical gardens, diverse dining options, championship golf and kids' activities. Its 586 over-sized guest rooms include sleeper sofas, coffeemakers, refrigerators, in-room safes, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, and private balconies or patios. The hotel also has an on-site spa, pool, restaurants and snack bars, fitness center, and two golf championship courses.
