Parasailing In Kona Hawaii

Parasail charters are available at the Kailua-Kona pier on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Intrepid visitors to the Kona Coast on the Big Island of Hawaii looking for a sightseeing option beyond the ordinary may want to consider parasailing. Travelers do not even have to get wet as they look down on the island coastline. The trained guides can help them each step of the way as they ascend and descend for their flight.

Flying Altitude

A standard ride with UFO Parasailing, the sole parasail operator on Kona, will take the flier out for approximately eight minutes to an altitude near 600 feet. A deluxe ride will keep the flier up in the air for more than 10 minutes at up to 800 feet into the air for island and beach views.

Observers

Nonflying observers may accompany the flier in the charter boat at certain times and if space is available. A nonflying observer fee will be charged and safety life vest will be issued.

Experience Necessary

No experience is necessary to parasail on Kailua-Kona with UFO Parasailing. Trained guides will instruct fliers pre-flight and will point out all safety issues and check flight gear.

Weight and Age Restrictions

Parasailing fliers must be at least 6 years old to enjoy a parasail flight. An observer must be at least 3 years of age to observe. Single fliers going up alone must weigh 130 pounds. Up to three flyers may fly in tandem not to exceed 450 total pounds. Expectant mothers are not allowed to fly.
