Keep children busy with fun sleepover games.
Make a sleepover party fun and unforgettable with exciting games. Prepare a list of games and have all the supplies ready to go. From indoor games to spooky outdoors games, get the party guests up on their feet laughing and having a great time. Besides enjoying the games, guests can meet unfamiliar faces and possibly make new friends or bond with old friends. Does this Spark an idea?
Shadow Guessing
Divide the players into two teams and hang a white sheet in a doorway. Place a bright light on the floor behind the sheet. The bright light will create a shadow when someone stands behind the sheet. Have one team stand behind the sheet in a room. One player from that team must step directly behind the sheet, while the other team has one guess to identify the player by her shadow. If the team answers correctly, they earn a point. After each team and player has a chance to go, the team with the most points wins the game.
Hide the Slippers
Take all the party guests' slippers and hide them around the party area. Purchase a pair or two of slippers just in case one or two players do not have slippers. When you say, "Go," the guests must run around looking for a pair of slippers. The first player to find a matching pair wins the game. Another variation is to have each guest find their own pair and the first guest to find her own slippers wins the game.
Let's Make a Deal
Play a game of "Let's Make a Deal" by purchasing several prizes, such as costume jewelry, gift cards, slippers, decorative pillows and small electronics. Place several prizes underneath boxes and in paper sacks, place candy or small prizes under some boxes and in some sacks so they are not all big winners. Offer each party guest a bag or a box. When everyone has their selections, they can open the bag or the box to see what they won.
Spin Tasty
Draw an arrow on a sheet of paper and tape it to the side of a bottle. Take seven to eight paper plates and place food items, such as ketchup, chocolate syrup, mustard, mayonnaise, pickles, butter and whipped cream, on each plate. Place the plates in a circle and put the bottle in the middle. Give each guest a plastic spoon and have all the guests sit in a circle around the plates. Each guest must spin the bottle. The guest must take a bite from the plate the bottle points at when it stops spinning.
